Konbit Shelters project

We are pleased to introduce the «Konbit Shelters project» launched by Katy Teana, an American artist who appeared as a panelist for the Culture & Social Innovation / Tokyo Conference organized by Tsukuba University in October 2012.
This undertaking, heavily influenced by New York street artist Swoon, was first realized in Haiti as a response to the large scale earthquake of 2010 and now aims to aid Japan in the reconstruction of commercial, residential and public areas.
Presently, the financing necessary for this venture is being collected through charitable contributions via the fundraising website «Kickstarter».
Swoon and Katy Teana will also donate selected artworks as gifts for the generosity of sponsors (based on the amounts given). For more details, please visit the below website.
The fundraising period will close at the end of 2012; therefore, any persons interested in helping this cause, please urgently do so. (Kubota)
